Ross Burris' stats
As part of pre-game, Ross Burris
was recognized for his 42 years as team statistician by Sean Johnston (SHS
principal) and Charlie Black (game announcer). Mrs. Johnston presented Ross
with a game ball that contained signatures from all the Sabinal football
players.
The Sabinal win over Leakey gave
the Yellowjackets the District 15A third place spot and qualification for
post-season. This was the first time Sabinal qualified for the playoffs as a
third place finisher since the UIL had made the rule change for Class A.
